December 2024 - UPDATE
Dear friends,
dear colleagues,
Only 6 months to go until the congress begins, and the anticipation and excitement are growing. Registration is now open on this homepage, please take advantage of the favourable early bird rate and register as soon as possible.
The congress programme is also online now, you will discover many well-known and familiar names and many more highly interesting lectures, keynote lectures, instructional courses and debates. It is also still possible to submit your scientific contribution until the end of the year. Please note the new format “case-based learning quiz”: interesting, difficult or even just unusual cases will be presented step by step and the audience can vote online on the next steps in the diagnostic or therapeutic process. We would be delighted if this format, which is new to ESPO, could realise its high potential through attractive contributions. You will find more information on this format during the abstract submission process.
Don't miss out on securing a ticket for the congress dinner in good time. We will spend a spectacular evening at the Mercedes-Benz Museum, one of the most visited museums in Germany with its award-winning architecture and world-famous exhibition. We will meet directly in the exhibition and can move freely and unhindered between the many exhibits throughout the evening. A unique opportunity, not only for car enthusiasts, to experience over 100 years of history of individual mobility and technology culture in an entertaining way. Demand will be high, so don't wait too long to book.
In addition to the automotive industry with its flagships Mercedes Benz and Porsche, Stuttgart is also famous as a city of culture. The John Cranko School is one of the few world-renowned training centres for international ballet students and has been a famous institution for decades. We are proud and delighted that we have been able to secure the John Cranko School for a performance as part of our opening ceremony. Another absolute highlight of the opening ceremony will be the lecture by Professor Andreas Wagner, a top international scientist who has written fascinating popular science books on how innovations in nature emerge and prevail. So there have never been better reasons to attend this congress kick-off!
On behalf of the entire organising committee, I would like to invite you to Stuttgart and look forward to meeting you in person or seeing you again.

January 2024
The recent COVID pandemic and the ongoing political and economic crises have shown us how comprehensively and rapidly the conditions of our lives and work can change. But the fantastic congress in Liverpool also revealed how great the need for personal exchange and the willingness to learn, mediate and network face to face are. Our congress motto "Creating innovations - implementing innovations" is intended to underline on the one hand how important it continues to be to develop new processes and techniques for the benefit of our patients. But it should also make clear that it has probably become more difficult than in the past to integrate these successful innovations into everyday clinical practice across the board and at a high level. In addition to the increasingly noticeable financial constraints, administrative and regulatory limitations are making themselves felt, which require a lot of time and energy. If we want to represent the interests of our patients in the best possible way, agreement on our goals and a close exchange on the ways to achieve them are the best starting position. To this end, with the help of an outstanding international faculty, we will once again put together a diverse, carefully coordinated scientific programme that will cover all aspects of paediatric ORL. In addition to the latest developments in airway surgery, hearing implants and endoscopic procedures, the increasingly important influence of digitalisation and artificial intelligence will be addressed. A special focus will be on imparting knowledge and practical skills, both through numerous courses and keynote lectures as well as an extensive simulation programme.

We are therefore very pleased to welcome ESPO to Germany for the first time! Stuttgart is a modern and culturally diverse major city in the scenically and climatically privileged southwest of Germany, which forms the centre of one of the economically strongest metropolitan regions in the country. The accessibility of the city and the international congress centre are excellent and make it possible to get to know the diverse attractions of the city and the region. Last but not least an exiting social programme will await you and will provide many possibilities for communication and networking.

We are looking forward to meeting you in 2025!
